Jeannette Burg, EdD OTR
Jeannette is the original owner of Occupational Therapy Services. She obtained her Bachelor of Health Science degree from University of Florida, her Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Houston, and her Doctorate in Education from Nova Southeastern University. Jeannette provided occupational therapy in hospitals and several Houston school districts before starting the private practice. Her dream has always been to have a pediatric rehabilitation center providing top quality occupational, speech and physical therapy with a team of advanced clinicians.
Karen Fowler, MS OTR
Karen has been practicing occupational therapy for 9 years. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern Indiana. She has worked in Washington State and Houston with adults and children, in school settings, nursing homes, and home health care. Karen especially enjoys working with children and being a part of the therapy team at Occupational Therapy Services.
Elena Dugas, M.S. CCC-SLP
Elena is a licensed and certified Speech and Language Pathologist. She graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and she earned her Master’s degree from Lamar University. Elena holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence and is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). She has been with Occupational Therapy Services since 2001.
Judy Murphy, M.A. CCC-SLP
Judy has recently relocated to Houston from Morrison, Colorado. She received her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Colorado in 1996 and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Judy has been with Occupational Therapy Services since 2013. Previous to this, she worked in public schools serving students K-21. Judy enjoys working with children and their families. She tells as many people as she can that she "gets" to go to work!
Tamara Schultz, M.S. CCC-SLP
Tamara is a graduate of Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio with a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has extensive experience providing pediatric speech-language pathology in both school and private clinic settings. When not working, Tamara enjoys reading, attending and performing in theater productions, and spending time with her son.
Marla Aguilar, PT
Marla received her Physical Therapy degree from the University of Texas. The most important jobs I hold are “wife, mother, and grandmother”. I am blessed to be called “mom” by 4 and “mimi” by 7. My life’s work and career has been for 40 years in the field of Physical Therapy, including work in a cancer hospital, rehabilitation hospital, public schools in special education, nursing homes, outpatient clinics, and in home health. My passion is in service to others as I enjoy church work, missionary service, and helping others achieve their goals.
Kathy Rios joined Occupational Therapy Services in October 1996. She has over 30 years experience in a variety of office settings including 10 years in legal billing and 19 years in medical billing and coding. She is responsible for the smooth day to day operation of the office, including scheduling, billing, insurance claims, obtaining doctors orders and authorizations. She is a vital part of our team.
